Resources

If you are experiencing abuse, there is someone you can reach out to anytime, day or night. Below you’ll find resources for those living with violence, as well as promotional resources for the Refer Her campaign to help share our message more broadly.

If you are in immediate danger, call 9‑1‑1.

Website Resources

If you or someone you know is experiencing violence, you can find your nearest women’s shelter and its crisis line at ShelterSafe.ca. You do not need to move into a shelter to access support, such as safety planning and counselling.

Tech Safety Canada is a hub for resources and tips for keeping yourself safe and preserving evidence of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV). If you believe you are being stalked, harassed, or threatened via technology, trust your instincts. You are not alone.

Women’s Shelters Canada brings together 16 provincial and territorial shelter organizations and supports the over 600 shelters across the country for women and children fleeing violence. We run both ShelterSafe.ca and TechSafety.ca. Our main website provides resources for shelters as well as research reports and policy briefs on the issue of gender-based violence.
